In two days, National Hispanic Heritage Month will come to an end, which is celebrated in the U.S. to honor the culture, history, and contributions of the Latino community. To mark this occasion, this Sunday I’m inspired by Hispanic furniture designers who focus on sustainable practices. This also serves as the first post in the “Sunday Inspiration” series for an inspiring sunday leisure time.

Mexican designer known for his experimental, sustainable approach, using natural materials like corn husks and agave fibers in his work. His designs emphasize sustainability, support local agriculture, and collaborate with indigenous communities in Mexico.

Founded by Uruguayan designers Emiliana Gonzalez and Jessie Young, has been creating minimalist, bold designs in Los Angeles since 2015. Their work focuses on using raw, unembellished materials, celebrating local craftsmanship and turning production constraints into opportunities that shape their design process
Pet Lamp
It is not just a brand, it is an entire movement that began in 2011 with the aim of empowering regional communities to rethink plastic bottles in a new way. The project has spread across the world, working with incredible communities from Colombia, Chile, Ethiopia, Japan, Australia, Thailand, and Ghana.
